Year 3

Welcome to the Year 3 Class Page!!!

Oh my gosh, it's the summer term already! I can't believe how quickly that has gone. One more term and then our time together will be at an end, best get on with some learning then! 

In this, our CREATE term, we will be searching for the artist within. We will be exploring line and tone with charcoal and pencils and learning how to create texture and express light and shadow within our drawings. We will be improving our still life skills on location and within the classroom as well as learning about local and internationally renowned artists. In the second half term we will be working more closely with paints, learning how to mix colours and bulid up an artwork over time.

In music we will be learning how to sing ballads and create pices of music that tell stories. English will see us creating adventure stories and alternative traditional tales and our science lessons will focus on plants and flowers. We will also be looking at desktop publishing and more programming with Scratch in Computing and we are all looking forward to going swimming at Hartham for our PE lessons. It's going to be a great term and I can't wait to get started.
