Friday 1st May
Friday 1st May - pinch, punch first of the month!!
What an amazing day yesterday was 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAPTAIN TOM' what a total inspiration he is. Also it was Joseph's birthday yesterday too so Happy Birthday Joseph from all of year three!!
We have decided to turn our front garden area by the school gates on the drive in to a special garden called 'The Captain Tom garden of Hope 2020'. It will contain a plaque and will be planted with seasonal flowers throughout the year which our gardeners will maintain
In the garden you will be able to leave messages, these can be any messages that you feel you need to voice such as thank you or messages to those who you love or have lost. You can leave messages from any member of your family and they can be in your own style such as a plant with a note, a balloon, a pebble or a simple piece of writing. If you need your writing laminating we can do this for you.
I have to mention Henna and her family who had a great idea. Last night as a family they chose food from the menu that Henna created and made it for an evening meal. The meal was Flemish with the idea coming from a previous visit to Ghent in Belgium. In addition to the wonderful food they also decided to dress up in their 'posh clothes' something that I think we are all missing! I'm sure you will see some pictures soon!! We had some wonderful menus that really got our mouths watering, well done!!
If you have any activities which you feel all the class could enjoy please do let us know and we will put them on our home learning grid, well done for yet another week of home schooling we really are so, so proud of you all and appreciate what a task it is for your parents. Have a lovely weekend and fingers crossed the sun will return,
Mrs B
