Hello Year 3!

So, the caterpillars are growing….I went on a walk this evening and they are getting very fat and long, not quite as cute as before! It won’t be long before they cocoon! What exciting things have you seen on your daily walk? We actually got a bit lost this evening but managed to find our way out of the woods in the end (and thankfully before it got dark!)

How are you getting on with your videos? You must get them sent in by Friday if you would like to be a part of our whole school video, which will feature on our webpage. I’ve seen some amazing videos of Year 3 but I know there are more of you who would love to do it, plus I want to see your beautiful faces! Year 1 are winning (at the moment) as so many of them have sent in videos! Come on Year 3, we can do it!(Not that I’m competitive!) Send your videos to me and Mrs B or to videos@hollybush.herts.sch.uk.

I’ve been sent another beautiful online book, this free book The Book of Hopes is a collection of short stories, poems, essays and pictures has contributions from more than 110 children’s writers and illustrators, including Lauren Child, Anthony Horowitz, Greg James and Chris Smith, Michael Morpurgo, Liz Pichon, Axel Scheffler, Francesca Simon and Jacqueline Wilson. It’s dedicated to the doctors, nurses, carers, porters, cleaners and everyone currently working in hospitals. Let me know what your favourite entry is. I’m going to have a read of it today too.

Have any of you tried any of the lessons from the Oak Academy? Here is the link to the maths lessons, I know we love Maths in Year 3! Or… maybe before you do you’re a Million Dreams video you would like to have a music lesson.

Have a fab day!

PS. Record your video laugh
