Spring

The children really enjoyed finding out about space, they thought about what it might be like in space, and what planets there are. Children hunted for aliens and explored alien treasure! They loved singing 5 little men in a flying saucer and acting it out using puppets. 

We tried to answer the question ‘Can I have a pet penguin?’ We looked at animals from the artic and what it would be like there. We made our own pet penguins as we decided having a real pet penguin would be too stinky! 
The children really enjoyed exploring ice and what happens to it when it melts.

We took a trip around the big wide world! The children thought about where they lived and what it might be like to live in other parts of the world. They looked at houses across the world and also what breakfast might look like in other countries. They made houses using a variety of shapes to create our own village 

The children have been exploring their favourite book characters. They explored Goldilocks and the three bears. They made porridge in different size bowls and made life size models of the characters. They enjoyed pretending to be the characters from the story, using puppets and masks to help them.
