Homework and helpful hints
I don't wish for homework to be too onerous in year 6 but I do feel that it is important for the children to consolidate their learning at home in order to develop their powers of recall and understanding in preparation for the KS2 SATS and their transition to secondary school. We have ordered some CGP grammar, maths and reading booklets and I will be sending them home with the children on a weekly basis with specific tasks that I will communicate through Arbor and Google Classroom. The new homework tasks will not start until after PGL.
I will also be periodically adding helpful links and videos to this page to give guidance and support throughout the year, but please ensure that your children are reading every day and doing some times table practise.
