Applying for a place in our School Nursery

If you would like to apply for a Nursery School place please print off and complete the application form and return by e-mail to admin@hollybush.herts.sch.uk or by post to Hollybush School, Fordwich Rise, Hertford, Herts SG14 2DF.

Alternatively you can drop it into the school office.

For September start

January: Applications open (you can submit your application before this date but early applications will not receive preferential consideration)

End of February: Deadline for applications. Completed applications must be returned to school before 12pm

End of March: We will email you with the outcome of your application. Notification letters will be posted for any application where it has been indicated that applicants are unable to receive information electronically

May: Deadline to accept or decline or your place.

Please note that we are now admitting children the term after they turn 3 so your child may start after Christmas or Easter.

Applications for Reception

Applying for a place in Reception is different to applying for a nursery place.

Applications must be made online directly through Hertfordshire County Council.

Remember to submit your application on time! You are less likely to get your preferred school if you apply late.
